In the spirit of Chinese New Year and the upcoming Valentine’s Day, I am highlighting this structured red wool coat. Most of my coats tend to lean towards the neutral spectrum, but secretly, I’m a big fan of bold-colored coats. Since I tend to wear a lot of dark colors during the winter months, a bright coat makes for a perfect accessory to brighten up my outfit.
Now, you can go all out and pair it with a red beret and black patent leather booties like I did here. Or you can skip the beret and put on some pumps or flat for a more work appropriate look. This coat is from specifically from Mango. I highly recommend their coats especially for petites. They make an XXS which fits perfectly all around. I say “all around” because sometimes I can find a coat that fits fine at the waist and maybe even the length. The real problem I have is the sleeve length. I absolutely hate it when my sleeves are too long. Luckily, I don’t have that problem with Mango’s XXS size.
Also, I would like you to welcome the newest accessory to my closet… the Gucci Double G Belt! I’ll be doing a more in-depth review on this belt soon, but for now, let’s just say that I can’t believe I finally have one.
It has absolutely crazy the past two weeks so I apologize for the late post! I have officially moved in with my boyfriend and my stuff is literally everywhere. On top of that, we left for Aspen this past weekend so I haven’t had time to unpack. We did a lot of photo-shooting there so I’m really excited to share with you all the pictures on Instagram. Eventually, I’ll be composing a first-timer’s guide to Aspen. I thought it was pretty confusing on what to prioritize first so hopefully I can help someone out. As for now, it is my ultimate goal this week to unpack and organize all my stuff. Hopefully, my boyfriend’s (and my) life can resume a bit of normalcy sooner than later. Wish me luck!
