Palm Leaf Tie-Front Romper (XXS) – On Sale! • Steven by Steve Madden Sandals (6.5) • Straw Clutch

My absolute favorite thing to wear during summer vacations or even my backpacking trips are rompers. It packs so small and it’s one whole outfit. The key is also finding a material that doesn’t wrinkle. Or at least find a print where it hides all the wrinkles. Luckily, this palm leaf tie-front romper has everything going for it.

I decided to wear this romper when we decided to have some beach time during one of our days in Tulum. We decided to head over to Papaya Playa Project for some lunch so we could head straight to the beach afterwards. Papaya Playa Project is a hip tropical hotel that’s located right on the ocean’s edge. It is known for the Papaya Playa Beach Club which features a restaurant, bar, and outdoor music/entertainment space. Our favorite part was the cool multi-tier seating area for you to eat at or have a couple of drinks at. If I had to do it again, I would skip the food and just come here for the drinks and views.

OUTFIT DETAILS

Palm Leaf Tie-Front Romper (XXS): So comfortable! Can’t get over how great the quality of the fabric is either. Not only is it a great outfit, but it acts as a great bathing suit cover up as well. I’ve already worn it twice since Tulum so it’s definitely worth it.

Steven by Steve Madden Sandals (6.5): When I first saw these, I thought, “Wow! What an amazing dupe for the Hermes pair and it costs so much less!” They were also on sale when I got them so it made it even sweeter. Unfortunately, I have to say this time, you get what you pay for. The pair is comfortable enough, but my problem with this is that the white leather started to stretch so now there are a bunch of cracks throughout the “H” part of the sandal. Maybe it was because I have wider feet or the fact that my feet did swell up like balloons while I was on vacation. Either way, these shoes were done looking good after 10-12 times of wearing. So sad!

Straw Clutch: I’m totally in the zone of buying straw accessories right now. This one came for Target and I’m loving it. It’s a nice change from the typical net bags or bamboo totes. The fringe tassels also makes it more fun and gives a tropical vibe.
