Hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend! Today’s blog post is dedicated to the upcoming summer months. Not only does it mean warmer weather, but it also means vacation! I love this yellow striped midi skirt by Topshop. I can wear it around LA or bring it on vacation with me. The skirt is really the statement piece so I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple.
I’m also back from my trip and just like that, I’m on the road again. This time it’s local to Palm Springs though. Splash House is happening this weekend and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hang out with friends and listen to some good music. For those of you who are not familiar with Splash House, it’s a music event that happens twice a year in Palm Springs where they take over three hotels and have DJs perform at their pools. If you ever have the chance to get out there, definitely check out the event!
A New Day Loose Tank (XS): Okay, so I’m totally one of those people that loves tank tops. Tank tops are the one staple that I will always have in my closet and that I will always keep on buying. I am also one of those people who will buy two of something just because it’s on sale. For example, if I buy two of these tank tops, it will only cost me $10 versus if I just buy one, which would be $8. Like, it’s a no brainer, right?
I ended up buying the white and pink one. The white tank is the one I’m wearing in the picture. I love that it’s loose and that it’s super soft. It’s more on the off-white side vs. bright white. It is made out of mostly rayon though so it does wrinkle, but nothing a quick ironing can’t fix.
Topshop Skirt (2): The skirt literally screams summer. I love that it has an asymmetrical hem and the button detail on the side. It is pretty long though so it’s more of a maxi skirt on me. I’m 5′-2″ and wearing heels and the skirt barely clears the floor. I’m probably going to have to alter the waist so it can sit higher.
Sam Edelman Sandals (6.5): When I feel like a wedge is too chunky for an outfit, I usually lean towards a block heel instead. It’s a little fancier than a wedge, but definitely less formal than a high heel.
Straw Hat: Ladies and Gent… I have found a boater hat that I actually like! Most of the ones that I have been trying on have a really wide brim that is too big for my petite frame. What makes it even more amazing is that it’s super affordable and it’s foldable! That’s right, you can actually take it on vacation with you and not worry about it looking like someone ran over it with a car.
Cult Gaia (Dupe) Small Tote: I have gotten so many compliments on this bag that it’s ridiculous. Again, this is a dupe version of the designer brand (Cult Gaia) that I got on Amazon.
