I have to say that I’m completely exhausted from all the traveling the past month. I’ve literally have been gone the last three weekends on different snowboarding trips. Today was the first Saturday in probably five months that I’ve spent the whole day in my apartment. Sadly, all I did was chores. It needed to be done though because I’ll be leaving to Singapore in a couple of days! I have a lot planned and I can’t wait to share my travel tips with all of you. If you want to follow my journey in real time, make sure to follow me on Instagram.
Since I actually stayed in LA this weekend, I noticed that the weather is finally getting cooler again. The forecast also says it’s actually lasting for more than two days. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to finally break out a faux fur coat in the city for once. It’s so rare that I get to wear any of my coats in LA because it never gets cold enough. All my coats are for when I travel to colder destinations. That’s why I’m definitely going to take the opportunity this week! Of course, I know that our cold is nothing like everyone else’s cold 🙂
Mango Faux Fur Coat (XXS-XS): Who doesn’t like looking like a yeti?! Yeah, you thought I wasn’t going to state the obvious did you? Well, I did and now that it’s out of the way, we can talk about how fun and fluffy this coat is! It is a little big in the body area, but since it’s a shorter coat, it doesn’t give that heavy or massive look on my frame. It comes with hook-and-eye closures and two side pockets. The faux fur isn’t the softest but it’s better than anything you’ll find at H&M or Forever 21.
AQUA Skort (XS): I haven’t worn a skort in DECADES. It was something definitely something I wore in my elementary school days and apparently that’s where it stayed until now. Again, I tried on the XS and the S because some of the reviews mentioned that it was on the smaller side. Also, that it wrinkled a bit in the front. When I tried it on, the waist of the S was too big for me, but I thought the overall fit of the skort was a little better. I chose the XS in the end because I rather have it fitted on the waist and the length looked better for my height. Regarding the wrinkle in the front, yes there is a little bit of a wrinkle when you stand up from sitting down, but definitely not worth second guessing on getting the skort.
Steve Madden Booties (6.5): Absolutely my new favorite pair of boots that I recently bought. It was on sale for half the price so I couldn’t resist. Again, for Steve Madden, it looks like I’m a true 6.5. Before I purchased these boots, I read almost every review that I could find on the internet. Most of them were positive, but I was really afraid that they were going to really hurt my feet. The boot has more of a pointed-toe and there is no platform so the pitch is going to be higher.
Quay Sunglasses: So I’ve been eyeing this brand for awhile now and I finally decided to pull the trigger and get this pair! I probably tried on at least five or six pairs before I decided on this one. This one fit my face the best width-wise and it also has the little nose pads for my flat Asian nose. I also like that it has round lenses, but it’s framed in almost a cat-like design. This is definitely a winner!
