Don’t white boots automatically remind you of the 70s? Well, they can definitely be worn today and I actually think they are a staple during the winter months. It’s something nice, bright, and unexpected instead of your usual dark and dreary colors. They easily go great with light-colored jeans, mini skirts, and sweater dresses. If you want to look fashionable super quick without even thinking, definitely reach for the white boots.
What I have on are the white Steve Madden Editor Booties. I took these with me during our recent snowboarding trip to Breckenridge, CO. It was my first time to Breckenridge and I heard they had a decent après ski and nightlife scene there. I knew I wanted something fashionable but that was on the water-resistant side since it was going to be cold and wet. The Editor Booties looked like it was up for the job.
The outer material is made out of leather so I felt comfortable wearing them out if they got wet. With that being said, I do not recommend you walk anywhere where there may be ice since the bottom has no grip and you will most likely fall (I almost did). Also, it’s not the greatest at keeping your toes warm. It could have been the fact that I was not wearing the right socks, but it’s good to keep this in mind.
Steve Madden Editor Booties (Sz 6.5): For Steve Madden shoes, I am a true 6.5. I would even say with some heels, I’m almost a 7! If you are near a mall that sells their shoes, I highly recommend you go try the style you’re interested in there first. There’s nothing like ordering your usual size online to only find out that it doesn’t fit. What lead me to pick this style really was due to the almond toe-shape and the block heel. I’m not really a fan of the super pointed toe with small heel. It makes my feet look longer which essentially makes me look shorter (or like an elf).
Miss Selfridge Sweater Dress (Sz 0): Does this sweater look familiar? It’s because I wore it here! This is actually a sweater dress that I turned into a sweater by folding it underneath and then tucking the edge into my jeans. I love when a piece of clothing is versatile enough to be worn in different ways.
BRF Gray Petite Jeans (24): Finding jeans that fit properly and that don’t have to be hemmed is one of the hardest things for me to accomplish fashion-wise. So when I found this pair, you better believe that I bought one in every color. In my experience, Banana Republic Factory bottoms seem to run on the bigger side. I got the 24 (usually I’m 25 in jeans) and it actually fit perfectly. Another example is that I fit their size 00P in pants which is crazy because I know for sure I can’t fit that in any other brand. Anyone else have the same experience?
Again, thanks for reading!
