For this post, I want to introduce you to one of my favorite brands, Lavish Alice. It’s a UK based label that I’ve been in love with the past year. What really attracted me was the simple yet modern design, clean silhouette, bold colors, and ultra femininity. Most of all, I like that fact that it’s constructed of quality material vs. cheap thin fabric. All around, Lavish Alice’s clothes just feels more luxurious. You can find their label on sites like ASOS or Revolve, but I have found that it’s cheaper to buy straight from their website (even with the international shipping fee) when they have sales or markdowns. Lavish Alice isn’t really made for a petite person, but I have definitely found more than a few items that I can work with. This black dress being one of them.
I do want to take a quick moment to talk about this gorgeous bar in Las Vegas that I visited. I’ve been there a few times already, but I wanted to share this in case any of you ever have the chance to visit Vegas. It’s the called the Mandarin Bar and it’s located on the 23rd floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. It’s worth a stop alone just for the amazing view of the Vegas strip. If you want to be seated by the window, I suggest you do make reservations ahead of time. Also, specify which view you want (I suggest North Strip) because the bar faces both north and south. We didn’t have a reservation so we had to sit at the bar first. Drinks are definitely on the pricier side, but it is the Mandarin Oriental after all. If the bar scene is not your thing, they also host an amazing tea time in the lobby area on the same floor with the same view. Reservations are a must for tea service.
Lavish Alice Dress (UK 6): This is going to be my version of the LBD. Long Black Dress. I can’t tell you how many times I have bought a regular dress and the length literally is made for a super model. Either it’s dragging on the floor (even with heels) or it’s hitting at the most unflattering part of my legs. Usually, if I love a dress that much, I would either get it altered or even hem it myself. This was suppose to be a midi dress for a regular height person, but since I’m only 5′-2″, it came almost to my ankles. The funny part is that it didn’t look half bad! Where the dress stop, it actually made it look a little bit more glamorous and highlighted whatever shoes I was going to wear. I also LOVE that it’s off the shoulder and asymmetrical. This made it perfect for Vegas!
Mango Gold Clutch: Once you really get to know me, you’ll know how much I love the color gold. This holds true for this hard-case clutch that I bought from Mango a couple of years ago. It can be used as a clutch or a purse since it does come with a strap. You can also see it being styled here.
River Island Gold Sandals (Sz 6): These are my favorite pair of strappy sandals. They can also be seen worn here. I loved them so much that I bought it in gold and white. When I first purchased them, I actually got the 6.5 wide size because strappy heels usually are tight and stiff around my foot. Well, they were absolutely enormous on me! I think River Island shoes tend to run big so please be aware when you are purchasing. Unfortunately, they don’t have this style anymore, but the great thing about pairing shoes with this black dress is that any type of gold sandals will work.
